According to Father Archange Godbout, Germain Doucet's family appears in the 1708 census under the name Medosset. There is however, a conflict in the documentation. In the census, Germain Medosset's wife is called Marie-Charlotte, but in the parish register Francoise is clearly given as the first name of Germain Doucet's wife.
